The scientific monograph entitled Transfer of the Environmental Problems in the Economy Through Education is an important interdisciplinary work, dealing with ecology, agriculture, education and the environment. The monograph encompasses 11 scientific studies prepared by 22 authors, either as individual authors or as co-authors. Each contribution presents a clearly defined research problem, methodology and citation of references. The development of ecological awareness is the main common characteristic of all contributions. Each chapter addresses important problems in this complex field of science from a different point of view; the authors stress important concepts in environmental knowledge at different levels of education. The link between new developments in agriculture and modern concepts such as agroecology is well established. An important theme throughout this collection is analysing the energy efficiency of motor vehicles and buildings. One chapter analyses the influence of human actions on the increase of consequences of floods and provides a proposal to model this phenomenon in order to avoid unnecessary damage and costs.

All of the chapters in this collection are important as individual and independent contributions to the development of ecological and environmental science and provide brave new approaches to this research field. Each shows relationship between numerous complex interdependent phenomena and processes. The book will surely be interesting reading for scientists, educators and representatives of professional associations as a source of experimentally based research results and different ideas. The conclusions and suggestions offered here could lead to appropriate actions and activities to achieve desired changes in environmental policies.
