The broad aim of African Theology of Solidarity is to establish that any symbiotic dialogue of the Christian faith with African cultures and the precarious social realities in Africa require the theological unification of the two major theological trends in Africa: Inculturation and Liberation. The need to incarnate the Christian faith in African cultures should not ignore the contemporary social realities in the present day Africa. The necessity of this endeavour is to make theology one of the energies for transformation and liberation in Africa.

Dr. Chukwuemeka Emmanuel Umeh is a catholic priest of Aba diocese; a native of Akwu-Akokwa, Imo State Nigeria. He studied philosophy, journalism and theology in Nigeria, Great Britain and Austria. He is the author of some precious books including, Opting for the Poor: An African Liberation Theology (2004); Injustice and War on Terrorism (2005). He is presently the parish priest of SS.
